History
Steeped in a rich history, the Boscolo Hotel captivates with its Haussmann-style architecture and sumptuous materials such as black marble, Vincenza stone and delicate fabrics that bring an unrivalled warmth to the atmosphere.
Nestled in an exceptional 19th-century building, this was one of the city’s first hotels, and has welcomed such luminaries as Martin Luther King, Valéry Giscard d’Estaing and the Duchess of Kent, as well as icons of French cinema and song such as Jean Marais, Jean Gabin and Edith Piaf. Angelo Boscolo, who has been involved in the luxury hotel business for over 40 years, became the sole owner of Boscolo Lyon in 2016.
The hotel underwent a complete overhaul, while retaining its soul and continuing to offer top-of-the-range services.
